Biiiig Blanket

Hey guys! I'm still here. I have lots more to post but just taking a little break. I'm working on a blanket right now that I really want to get finished. It's getting pretty darn big.

It has a really great texture that I'm totally in love with. I wish i was keeping it.

I'm trying to get through 3 more skeins of yarn tonight. Watching Design Star and crocheting = peaceful.

  1. Hugs Christie...I know that was a hard house to lose out on (it is beautiful, BTW!) I know things will work out in the end, but it's hard going through this stuff. I was so happy to see you on Mon. though! Thanks for making time to come, I'm so proud of you!

  4. Firstly, that blanket is HUGE! I'm in awe. Particularly you in the warm weather right now, it must be so hard to continue on without feeling hot with it on your lap.

Secondly, I hear your loss about the house, but it probably means that the more perfect one is still out there. Keep the faith.

And lastly I know EXACTLY how you feel about feelings and emotions hitting you when a certain thought comes to mind, a certain action, a certain day, a certain smell. It's heart breaking and it hits you in the face. My dad died on Christmas day and I find it hard to be excited about Christmas now, my favourites time of year, and then when something does excite me or I do enjoy a moment, I feel guilty. I know it's all part of the process, the way things now are, but it's hard. So know that you're not alone. I like to think now if I hear a certain song, or smell a certain scent, or eat a certain meal, that the feelings come rushing back, that instead of being sad, that it's a sign my dad is with me.
